Dunno if this should be in here but here goes:

Me and a few mates are thinkin about doing lands end to john 'o' groats on bikes of course for cancer research uk
But me and my mate thought about doing it differently and doing it on a street/park bike or bmx not sure about bmx
Do you think this is a bit too ambitious?

And has anyone done anything like this to give us some advice?

thanks in advance

dont stop??

i have started practicing for it but fractured my ankle last night
so wont be out for a while

but its gettin easier!

i was thinkin bout doing that cos it would be nice to have a ew bike to do it on as its less likely to have problems

I don't see any problems in doing it on a street bike or a bmx... either would work fine in my opinion.

who do you think i should approach? and how shall i go about it?

I'm not 100% sure, but i'm going to guess a company that likes to encourage environmentalists etc would wok well... For your approach you could email the company telling them your idea, and see if they go for it... That or you could call one of their toll free lines.

O+

You should turn i into and event say that anyone who want to do it can turn up at lands end at a set time and get loads of people doing it it could raise loads of money if everone is sponsored by freinds and family.

EVERYONE WILL BACK THIS ONE
WHEN YOU DOING IT
WHY DONT YOU GO FOR A SPONSOR OF SAY........ PINKBIKE
I THINK MAYBE THEY WOULD HELP
PERHAPS MAKE SOME PINKBIKE T-SHIRTS WITH YOURE EVENT OR NAME ON THEM
SELL THEM OVERPRICE (WHICH WE WOULD ALL PAY)
THEN DONATE THE PROCEEDS TO CANCER
