You can easily get a BMX under 25lbs. But it's very diffuclt to get an MTB far under 25. To get an mtb under 25, you'll need to spend a lot of money, whereas on bmx, not quite so much.

no he is completely wrong. how does it depend on parts? A bmx should be lighter than a mtb if it uses a similar build. A much shorter frame, no spenshions, smaller wheels etc means it will weigh less...

Yes, It Should be lighter but he is making it sound as if every bmx is lighter than every mtb which is not true.

Yes, It Should be lighter but he is making it sound as if every bmx is lighter than every mtb which is not true.

no but unless youre an idiot your bmx will weigh less than a normal mtb. If you want to be padantic and say that you can build a mtb out of paper and it will be lighter than a bmx then youre just being silly
