Yep, if it was used, they give you a price quote for a used bike. Usually 10-20% off of new if in good condition. Then you factor in the deductable on top of that, and yeah it cuts off 25-50% of the cost of replacing it new.
I work for an "insurer" and deal with bike claims all the time, I base on a new for old and IF I can get the same bike back I will, exact same. If i can not do this, I tell the insured to go buy it and I pay them back ,,,or,,I pay their shop direct.
hey there pple, thinking of getting a trailstar2 10yr limited ed from me local bike shop.. and was wondering.. what is the recommended travel for em ? all i know is that the newer 08-09 models can do up to 130mm. any advice would be appreciated, thanks
