im looking for a new dh bike and just wanted to see other peoples views on thier own
rate out of 10, list possible improvements from stock

6/10 from stock. Tracks surprisngly well for single pivot and that im using the wrong shock. should be around 8/10 soon though, got new parts incoming:

RS boxxer race 2009
Saint crankset 2009
Shimano XTR
TBC revolution 32 wheelset
Syncronos bar/stem combo
Shimano DX peddles
ODI grips
Maxxis Swampthings
500x2.3 fox shock

Should be some ass kicking once i get all that stuff, can't wait!!tup tup Salute

my bike for 2009 don't have it in yet so i had to use this pic these are the parts i'm putting on it:

sunline low rise bars
sunline direct mount stem
thompson elite seat post
maxxis minion front on the front and front on the rear
crank brothers 50/50
chromag lynx saddle


I will rate it 10/10 because it has all my favrite parts And the frame is the best company, suspension technology, has spot on geometry, and looks great.

Aye glory's ride well, a little heavy and sluggish at times but you can smash them through rocks like no other. Nice bike mate and good choice tup

It's not a full on DH bike but it does the job for me.

I've upgraded everything to make it DH worthy (Living in Ontario, you don't really have a need for them hence why I had to customize mine)

So all in all I'd give it an 8/10. It's light weight, it's got enough travel for me, accelerates like a bat out of hell, hugs the turns, and it stops on a dime.

Giant said the old one weighed in at 44.5lbs. So i would set the mark somewere around that as the parts are a little similer. Mabey 40-42, just a ruff estimate as i coulden't find the exact weight of the 2009 model listed.

I was fortunate enough to see it in whistler for Crankworx when I raced. The best bike I have ever rode.
