Converting movie files to play on itunes/ipod?

hey just wondering if there is any way to convert files like wma, avi etc to a format that can be played on itunes and synced to an ipod?

Look up Videora...its a decent freeware program. Although there are other similar programs out there, I seem to do fine with Videora.

Download a program called "Handbrake". Not only can you convert files, but if you use DVD43 aswell, you can rip them straight off a dvd and put them on your ipod.
