i may have the oppurtunity to get some tripl clamps very cheap and was wondering if it is really that big of a problem on a hardtail??

does the head tube snap? if so how long??

i have gt chucker

i ride abit of everytin reli but feel that i needd alot of travle and ride much better with longer travel forks

what bike do you have? because some hardtails are meant to have a long travel fork. I don't know if I would go with a triple clamp though, because they are meant for hardcore downhill, and are overkill on a hardtail. If you are riding your bike hard though, it will probably snap or crack the headtube.

it comes down to what bike you have and if u are going to put triple clamps on a dj bike that is no good and freeride triple clamps is a lot of suspension just for hardtail freeride.

Personally I defenitely wouldn't. It's up to you whether you wanna take the risk. There's always cheap dual crown forks on sale on ebay, here and other sites, so I wouldn't worry too much about that, especially the way the economy is now, and that's not looking like changing anytime soon.

if you want them put them on if it snaps your frame just buy a new one
if your worried about your teeth than make sure to wear a full-face and check your headtub often

Not on a Chucker, some frames will accept Dual Crowns without voiding the warranty, but your chucker will snap if you use DC's.

Why would you even want triple clamps?
Get some decent single crowns, its not like you are ever going to snap them.

Also, triples will most definitely ruin the bikes handling, seeing as the chucker comes with 100mm of travel to start with.

some bikes are meant for triples, e.g evil imperial, dmr exalt (i have one with zocchi shivers on it), but on a gt chucker, it just doesnt quite work. it'll go snap!
