well i would like to keep it under 4G, more than likely it will be a used bike.

probably more in the technical section of riding enviorments, but i still want something that can pinn it on the long flat straght sections.

and not too heavy.

i dont think demos are strickly dh geo setup. i think there more of a fr/dh build. i think he is looking for something like v10s or something made for downhill

yeah. i was thinking more like a Transition Blindside, devinci wilson, or even a Yeti DH 303(i like the suspention design, but its a bit heavy i think).

or a Intence Socom, but its a bit spendy and i heard that they crack easily.

Basically all those bikes you just names are over 4g's. You'll have to look for something cheaper. A good solution for a cheaper full on DH bike would be Norco Atomik, Kona Stinky, Specialized Big Hit, things like that. Something cheaper that will still do the job. You could even try to get the new Giant Glory DH, its a really nice dh bike. A Yeti 303 would probably be a bad bike for since you're only 13 and I have heard that the suspension design requires quite a bit of maintenance so it wouldn't be good for you. You could also looked for used bikes.

sam hill races one, theres how your wrong.

4000 USD
Okay so thats close to 6000cnd.
you want a light build.
well, You could buy frame used and then just order in a super light spec, Like get a cove shocker.
and then run a spec similar to something like this and you will have a really light bike.

Fork: Rock shox boxxer wc - 700
Handlebar: Sunline v one OS (19x745) - 75
Headset: Chris King - 200
Stem: Thompson 4x - 100
Seatpost: SDG I-beam - 100
Saddle: SDG I-Fly - 70
Pedals: Crankbros Mallet M - 120
Shifter: Shimano xt - 50
Rear derailleur: Shimano XT - 100
Brakes: Shimano XTR - 300
Cassette: Shimano Dura Ace 9 speed road. - 100
Chain: Shimano hg - 50
Cranks: Shimano xt - 250
BB: Chris King - 100
Rims: Mavic 729 - 220
Hubs: hope II - 400
Tires: Maxxis minion (2.5x26)- 160

total for parts is 3095 CND if your a smart shopper, look for deals and ebay

that comes out to 2539 USD. Most of the prices are new prices. as in you buy from a store.

If you go used, you can probably cut your spending down another 500-700.

So thats around 1800-2000, which leaves you 2grand for a new frame. and if you go used you can probably get something along the lines of a shocker and still have cash left over.

Also The parts spec i wrote out is around 25 pounds. and with a 10 pound frame its still only 35 which is light for a dh bike.

Wow our dollar isn't that bad... not even close. the current exchange rate is "1.21525"
so for every 1 US dollar it would be $1.2152 Canadian.

4000USD = 4861CAN

That might mess up your numbers a bit
