Getting back into mtb my single speed is a 1999 schwinn moab 19" im going to start building a 2001 ellsworth dare 16.5" ive been on short dh bikes and i like the ease of control. Im 6'1" and currently a bit fluffy at 265 pounds.
height: 5.7 (give or take maybe half an inch) weight: 140 lb
just got my bike setup with an 07 norco six two in xs. i found my norco stryk in small to be too big in standover height. i like to be able to put a foot down and be able to get over the bike easily if i need to bail. the small frame i felt clumsy even with the seat slammed
Hello i am 1metre 96cm tall. And i bought L size DH bike called:Santacruz Bullit https://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/69/43563997.jpg/ .Sometimes when i ride longer distances like from home to trail. It just feels kinda unconfortable. And after first DH run my back hurted alitle. So i would like to know is it ok to ride this size bike? Or i should sell it and buy XL size?
If you're 6'4 or 5 you could definitely be riding an XL. Experiment with your cockpit set up before you sell the L though. It all depends on set up, personal preference, and riding style/terrain. I'm 6'1 and I was fine on my M Bullit, but I was only doing FR and not pedaling.
What u sugjest to do with my cockpit for example? And one more thing:when tryng to do jumps it feels unconfortable, unstable.Like if elephant would sit on chair Feels like bike running from me.I dunno maybe its becose am new to this kinda of riding. And i didnt seen much of XL bikes.Maybe some one can tell some brands wich would do XL or comfortable L for 1m 96cm man.
im 6' and been riding a 17" orange crush for years. looking at getting a 223 as iv moved hugely toward downhill but i can only find 16" frames for sale. think this will be a good choice?
Do you have a hard time throwing your bike around or being comfortable?
It's a little bit more challenging, yes. But we got a really good deal on the bike from the dealer the difference between rocky mountians medium and large is only like 2 inches in frame sizes. Nope I feel 99.9 percent comfortable on it, the only challenging part is hitting corners fast. I am only 14 so I I'm still growing!
