bigquoteswow you kids are dumb, the louder the hub the more points of engagement which makes it a better hub, you shouldnt have a preference of loud or silent, it should be good or bad

i partially agree with this but dt swiss makes amazing hubs that are silent

so that kinda just ruined your theory there

I have silent hubs, but i really want to get some loud ones like a chris king or ringle maybe.

clicky hubs are the shit. dmr revolver rear hub sounds the nicest to me.

you can't say quiet hubs have less engagements, or you'd be saying a silent hub would have no engagements.

I put as much lithium grease as possbible in my Hope hub so it makes this low purring noise, and you can feel the clicks better cause it makes a low sorta thud, and when your going fast it purrs.Big Grin

I run a Ringle(well, quite soon) it's nice. Lets people know I am coming up behind them while biking on a path or sidewalk etc.

I run DT Swiss 340 hub's, pretty silent but it's the internals that count, and they're pretty freaking solid and silly light. Smile
