10 mm bolt is a female bolt system, through axle is like a maxle type system

So would you need special threaded dropouts to run maxle, or is it less specific than that?

I'd go for the through axle if you could... so much quicker to pop the wheel on and off, plus you don't have to carry a tool around that way.

The 10mm through axle is for the DT Swiss RWS axles

If its compatible with the hope hub, I'd do that.

Wouldn't it work with this though? It's what I'm currently using on a superstar hub

Again, why wouldn't you just go with the DT Swiss with a QR and a through axle? Strength and speed.

Less expensive and more secure. Has a 6mm Allen head on one side and other side has a notch that fits in the non drive side dropout to lock it in.
