Yeah man I had the same thoughts when I saw this, think it was the crank lengths coming into discussion that had me for a minute.

Just to clarify, you'll have no issue finding an appropriate BB for mtb or bmx cranks for that frame Maurice

my ns metropolis not built light having two brakes heavy chain etc etc but weighs at 26.1lb which im very happy with.

gearing has been a proper bugger as it came with a 30t chainring and 10t rear now currently on 22t ring but im going to try a 20t soon as it arrives but the rest of the build works really well

My Commencal Absolut Ti Dj. Its 22.23lbs. Have had a couple of different builds. Pretty happy with it at the moment. Only gets used as a pump track bike. Had it for a few years now, nearly sold it but the wife told me I should keep it and I'm glad I did.
