pikes are GARBAGE, the argyles are so much better and are acutally meant for your bikes geometry

why are pikes garbage?

pikes weigh more than an arglye, and you dont need half the ajustability. and your bike and only take 120mm or travel with a bike i think they can ajust from 130-150mm? something like that. plus they dont look as good as a arglye.

the new pikes take 110-165 mm so 120 wud be sweet
plus i dont want 100mm i want bigger

i have to agree, the argyle is a much better fork, they function better, and not the most important part, but they look sick

if the pikes are 110-165 then im pretty sure you can only choose 110 or 165, you cant pick random numbers inbetween, thats the way manitou works im not sure about rock shox, and if you wanted bigger then 100mm you shouldnt of bought a kona dirtjumper...

if you get any bigger than 120mm it'll look raked out. then you have the chance of snapping your headtube. 100mm is pretty nice your bike actually looks like a bike not a chopper. believe me the arglye rides nicer. the pike just sucks at dj its more of a freeride fork

i honsetly dont see whats wrong with the dj3 you have, if you ride MASSIVE dj then youll want the argyles. but if your new and ride like 1-5ft jumps then keep the dj3's

what shud i do first??

go with the argyles. pikes arent going to be as good on your kona. i just bought the same bike and im getting the argyles. there made for the geometry of your bike. bigger forks arent supposed to be on a dj bike. then you should make it a SS with the dmr kit. then lose the bandana and put that pic back on myspace. also i wouldnt waste the money on the juicy brakes unless your hayes break or go bad.

Yer i would go argyles, and get some good brakes like juicys and dependin on what riding you do maybe go singlespeed?
