That was my bike 10 months ago. EVERYTHING has been changed now apart from the seatpost. chain device. the brakes. and the stem. gonna change the stem very soon though. it's too heavy. and the forks are going to boxxer as i do DH now.

hey everyone, first of all, i don't have a marin. Second of all, I DON"T think they are ugly. (you can relax now):P But I am very curious about the quake. What advantage do they possess that makes that linkage design superior to other rigs? or, in other words, why did you choose a marin quake as oppose to other bikes?
cuz i've always thought these bikes have a high center of gravity with that beefy swing arm that looks more at home on a Caterpillar crane (sorry if i offended anyone)
the marins are a fast, do it all kind of bike...the suspension handles everything really well. square edged bumps are no problem, brake bumps and smaller rocks are eaten up, you can pedal it thru the roughest trail and you can send it on this bike too! trust me, it can take a serious beating, i put mine thru the ringer last season. what more can you ask for really... as far as the high center of gravity goes, i disagree, these bikes RAIL corners. meh, some don't like the look of the swing arm, to each their own i say. i like it.
