oh the same as me,looking at one of these and a sx trail but still deciding.
if you got rid of the demo for being to large for what you need, dont get the bullit. its not going to be any more manageable than the demo 7. the sxt or the nomad is what you want to be looking at. both pedal brilliantly, and are spot on for what i believe your looking for in a bike.
That's not true, it is far more manageable. In my experience Bullits are far more lively and nimble than Demos. Their steeper geometry, single pivot design, and light frame weight make them a far more snappy bike than a Demo (even a 7). However agreed, it's not a fantastic pedaler and if a Demo was too much bike, a Bullit will be too, same with the SXT. The 10mm difference in travel is inconsequential. I thought you decided on an SXT marquis?

the bullits look so nice and simple,it's a hard choice.

Drool ing over these doesn't help.

Started in 2004 after a few years not ridin at all with a no name hardtail, no pics unfortunately, then moved on to a hastily chucked together muddy fox rock'n'roll which got snapped in a car crash, sold the components and used it as a deposit for this:
2006
then i needed to buy a fridge so that went and i was left with this:
2008
then i decided it would be nice to go to gears at some point so i built this:
2009
then i got gears:
2009
then i got back into falling down hills but didnt want to go back to a full on DH bike so i built this:

Finally got the Bullit pretty much dialed in! Just need to change a few small things now. Eventually I plan on switching out the Totem for either a 180mm Fox or a Dorado lowered to 7" and getting a new frame, but I'm not sure which one yet.

Went from this
