Hi everyone! am a newbie here and also is a newbie with mountain biking, I have the same problem, I bought a 2007 fox 36 van r 160mm for just 200.00 it is too cheap that I didn't want to return it coz I know it would take a long time or probably forever to find a deal like this. I didn't bother too much on checking for cracks and was too busy checking the rebound and leaks. The crack is at the bottom and I think it won't matter much since the upper part of hole will absorb all the impact when the bike lands. My dilemma is, every time I'll get on the bike I won't feel 100% safe knowing that it's there, are the lowers cheap or is there like a permanent fix for it? or should I just ignore and ride it like that until I find another good deal on the lowers?
