Saint, definetly can't go wrong. Race Face Diablous is also a contender.

Any BMX crank will work, and then I recommend the Mosh full guard, which can be obtained from Dan's Comp or the Odyssey.

You guys need to open your minds.

This is still a work in progress mainly because the frame has hairline cracks and needs to be replaced, which will happen soon and then I can buy the proper brake mount for my hydraulic brakes.
Parts:
Mosh BMX crank, just order a euro BB for your specific spindle and put it in. If your worried about making it fit then find a bike shop that sells all types of bikes, not just Mt. and Road and they should be able to help.

Mosh Sprocket
Mosh Sealed Pedals
Huge KMC chain
Intense wheel set with the rear cassette taken apart and spacers added.
RST forks
Mosh Stem
Atomlab handle bars
Shimano hydraulic brakes
King sealed headset.
The chain tensioner is off EBay it's a no namer, easy to replace, just make sure you get one that is spring loaded.

Anyway once I get my new frame it will be set and ready to go.

THAT'S TIGHT!
You don't do DH so what do you do with it? Slopestyle, Dirt jumping?

he asked BEST cranks for DH... not "will BMX work?"
BMX parts have their place... I'm picking some up for my Dob soon
they are not for DH though...

Well he also said he wants to run a single ring, so when you compare strength and price, BMX might be the best way to go...
Your right about BMX having their place, right now it seems to be showing DH guys that you don't need the weight to get the strength.

True... the price:weight ratio is good.
but BEST cranks for DH kinda implies that money is no option.
