It could work, I liked what Alchemy did with that red bike of theirs. When they finally turn up I'll probably just wanna throw them on and ride the damn thing but i may entertain the idea Geek

Take it somewhere that does acid dipping or media blasting

Or do it yourself with paint stripper, look for an aircraft paint stripper- supposed to be less harsh on the aluminum.

I have done the Raw finish on a few frames.
Spray the entire frame. Let the stripper sit for about 20 min.
Re spray, you will be able to see the high paint spots. Spots
will not bubble up as much. Wait another 20 min. Begin to scrape paint
off with a plastic putty knife. Clean frame off with soapy water. Towel dry.
You will have a few small spots that will need to be touched up again with stripper.
When done, I usually take a Scotch Bright pad and go over the entire frame. Finally,
I Scotch Bright with Eagle 1 aluminum wheel cleaner. Towel dry and done...

Is the wheel cleaner necessary?

It will make a world of difference in the frames finish.
It cleans deep into the aluminum and gives it a radiant satin shine.
I haven't tried other products but I'm completely sold on the Eagle 1.
It will be the bottle that reads, "For aluminum wheels and aluminum/PVC products and parts".
To note:
I forgot to mention. A small wire brush and a little elbow grease will work out the paint in all welded
areas. I sprayed stripper on welded areas, let it soak, approximately 5min, and took the wire brush to it.
Hope this helps. Best of luck. Don't forget to post end results.....Smile
