non of the lbs here have these kinds of bikes in stock so im going to have to buy it solley on the word of this forum. right now i have a stp with a pike. pics in my profile. Im way to heavy for the pike. Id like to switch to a chromolly frame and fork. I ride nothing but street. I basically go 4 miles a day hop off curbs and such. Im 382 pounds and dropping about a pound a day give or take. My stp is large but its almost to big for me im 6 foot even. Im also wanting to run single speed. thanks guys!

err.... i don't really know.

I heard.243 is pretty heavy so I'm guessing that they are also quite strong... have a look at their frames maybe?

fork: Rock Shox Argyle
frame:
-banshee scratch http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=26933
-last raffnix http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30147
-nox flipper http://www.bike-mailorder.de/shop/MTB/Rahmen/Dirt-/Street/4X/Nox-Flipper-Rahmen-2008-2009::10582.html
-agent cooper http://www.bike-mailorder.de/shop/MTB/Rahmen/Dirt-/Street/4X/Agent-Bikes-Cooper-Rahmen-2008::6612.html
-atomlab pimp2 (alltough the toptube is pretty long on that one. but the geometrie and the weight are great, and it's damn strong) i don't recommend the other atomlab frames, only the pimp2 and the trailpimp

Argyle is a good fork or get an Atomlab elastomer DJ fork. You'll need the firmest springs around =/

My spesh P.1 cromoly frame feels good at my height of 6'0". food for thought

id go for a argyle 318 fork with a super stiff coil. as for the frame id go for something with a lifetime warranty like your stp. i cant even think of any chromoly frames with a longer warranty than like 1 year.......
if i were you though, i would get a specialized p3 frame. i know its aluminum but it has a lifetime warranty and it will feel much stiffer than a flexy chromo frame.

Stiff aluminum frame + 380lbs = cracked, repeatedly

I contacted push to see if they could mod my pike to hold me and they said it wont hold me. they recommended I get a Argyle 409. So I have my pike up for trade for one. I am thinking hard about just selling the pike and getting a regular solid fork.

Is your Pike a 20mm through axle or standard QR?

I am in the market for a rigid fork myself and I may have a 20mm Argyle 318 available soon.

Dude, don't take this the wrong way... but I think we all want to see a pic of a 382lb guy on a bike. Please show us what we are dealing with here.

never seen a Pike with 9mm QR Very confused
maybe a mix of the Pike and Reba, but I don't see the point in doing that
