You more than likely have that virus, it tends to only happen on one day of the year aswell.

You might have to wait until tomorrow then, this type of virus is hit and miss, either it goes away after a day or it doesn't go away.

Uusually it just happens to the site that was last in you history aswell.

That virus seems to target sites you frequent. Best method to clear it is a total of 4 restarts:

1. restart computer.
2. allow computer to idle without going online for between 5-8 minutes.
Repeat that 4 times and on the 5th restart you should be clear.

Basically the worm tries to go in and set up a peer to peer network. the restart clears its internal cache, and if it restarts 4 times without a connection within 5 minutes, the worm assumes the computer is not connected (it needs user internet input in order to find a site to path thru).

thats the easiest way to shut it down.

Sounds like the worm is trying to use your computer thru pinkbike. If that DOESNT work, then you're not waiting long enough between restarts, you need to wait long enough for the worm to not be able to ping the connection.

cheers, just had to do it to mine here, figured id pass it on.
