It'd be extremely tall.... for an SS bike at least.

I would go no bigger than 29 if I had a 13t rear with 26" tires.

Just my $0.02

Probably be pretty nice..I run 36:13 and its not to bad(I have strong legs)...28:13 is the ideal gearing for SS though

a little more than twice as many teeth in front is good for 26" and it's pretty much the "standard" for Singlespeed HT riding.

for example 13-28 is something i'd like.

so 30 should be ok really

i had 13-30 and it was good, but im going to 14-30 because i want a little more acceleration, but its alot of "how you like it" that makes the decision

itll be pretty hard. but its all personal preferance, best way is to try it, and if you dont like it change the rear cog, there really cheap

I've ridden some bikes this weekend that were actually geared fairly tall.... they ended up being really nice for getting lots of speed actually. It sucks going up a hill with tall gearing though.
