I think you can squeeze a 650b tire on some 26 inch forks. Perhaps a fox 36. They have a lot of clearance.
That might be possible with 36, but you have to use pretty skinny tires and the gap between tire and the arc will be pretty tight. But you newer know before you try! How 650b fits the rear end? I have 09 Bullit and I when I bottom my shock the tire gets really close to seat tube with 26". Pics please when your "modernisation" is ready! edit: You should also consider Rock Shox Totem fork, it has a good clearance and a regular tube.

i am looking to replace the 5th element on my 03 bullit. what are most having good luck with? i was looking at a fox dhx4 since they seem plentiful but also see a lot of the dhx 5.0 coils also. bike is used as a trail bike and some drops. i'm 250 also so need something that will hold up. thanks.

I'm 230 so its about~ 106kg and I'm using dhx air 5,0 on my bullit just have to keep high pressures in the can, I had a bottoming problem with this shock but changing the shim stack helped alot. So maybe you should consider dhx air shock.
Having a nightmare with Canyon Strive Shapeshifter failings but still got my bullit in the garage. Thinking the old babe might shred the trails once again!! She never failed me and just went for an upgrade, modern tech has failed me big time!
Hi guys, have your Bullits (08-10) been breaking rearshocks? I have problems with my DHX air 5.0. After last rebuild, it started "clanking" on first test ride and before the that rebuild the piston bolt had loosened and the piston had fallen of to the shaft. I'm afraid I have the same problem now. Have you had this kind of problems?
Thanks for the reply ciechan I was hoping for a roller type ..the one that has it on the bottom. ..so a iscg won't work . Can you tell me why ?..I've seen a bracket that looks like it is placed between the frame and sprocket. I'm I looking in the wrong direction on this ..I'm going through lizard skins like mad ..I'm worried about damaging my rear arm . Pete651
