First off you all thinking is that eaven possible and is it gonna be worth the $$$$,i can tell you it will.Let's remember the session 10 is a bike with the weigth off a boat hitting the scales at 47lbs or more making it not pratical as a full on racer but more towards freeride.

Session 88 is the answer on a ligth weigth session platform with ABP,Full floater etc but lacks the strength off the 10 making them very fragile for dents despite it's overall weigth it's proven to be a excellent race bike.

This builders blog is made for 1 reason and that is to ditch the all heavy image off the session 10,make it into a way ligther bike, more towards dh racing and less freeride.

It begins with a frame in this case my own frame for this builders blog

- 1.5'' headtube
- 10'' travel
- Akira Tuned Swinger X6 intrinsic
- 83mm BB shells
- 12 x 150mm
- 10.5 x 3.5 shock
- Adjustable Geo and BB heigth

Updates will be coming when i have some new things.

glad you are asking that,i head in the past to deal with heavy forks think 888 and Travis forks all from 7lbs to 7.5lbs.Not the best and ligthest in the industry especialy when you ride a 08 marzocchi 888 that is just died after a crash or travis(broken after 3 crashes they suck hard).

For this build i head 2 options go for a fox 40RC2 or the new boxxer wc 2010,but for me a fork like the 40 is too expensive for my budget on the fork side and at 6.9lbs i beleave it's quite ligth but not ligth enought so my choice is gonna be the new boxxer wc 2010 at 5.9lbs according to rock shox and almost 700 euro cheaper than the fox 40.Other things like bars, stem i'd go for a spank spike stem with reverse dh race bar

Wow 5.9lbs, didn't know it was that light.

Have you considered a direct mount stem?

If you want light, don't get Spank.

As for the fork, maybe 2010 888?

Direct mount stem is a must.

I'd said Reverse dh race bars, the spank spike stem is ligther than the DM stem from TruvativWink .Also the spank stem is bling

So? Did I say anything about truvativ? Truvativ isn't exactly weight conscious.

Direct mount stem is lighter than all.

Chromag or Ea70 bars
