oh dear we've found an idiot. do u reali think salt water wont corode your frame
salt water will ruin the seals on ur bearings and your bike will basicly fall apart from there on !
im not talkin to the author here but the guy wid the wtp !

so im an idiot i guess?
and tell me where i said that it was salt water i jumped into?
it was a lake, therefore it was freshwater.

and my bike is still fine, i rode it home, and it was no problem,
next time you should read before making assumptions.

dude it'll be fine. bikes are built to be able to get wet. just make sure you dry it pretty thoroughly when you are done. it'll be fine. and it's hella fun.

but u'll neva be able to fully get the water out of ur frame, just the most of it

Posted: Jun 30, 2009 at 11:41 Quote
its all good,
im just saying that, from experience, if your bearings are sealed, it will be fine.

look at your frame, theres little holes all over it, probably made to let stuff get out if it does get in.

So do you htink it will be too easy to pedal?

if you want a semi- granny geared but not too much, do 25-14. on my two50, I had 25-12 gearing which would be gear 6? on a geared bike.
