The bearings won't be affected right away, its more of a long-term thing.

As for gearing, I can't remember it right now but you should be able to dig it up on here.
It is something along the lines of # front cog teeth / # rear cog teeth x wheel diameter in inches. It's not that but something along those lines. No matter what type of wheel you ride, I think the magic number should always be ~55.

how doesnt that make sense? lol, if u jump your bike into a lake, yr screwin ur bike up, its not like ur bike is just randomly screwing you over. its entirly your fault. its like if u were to... take out 3/4 of your spokes (purly example) YOU would screw your bike up, your bike wouldnt screw u over, its completly your fault for being a complete idiot.
