Can I use a metric shock?

I want to go back to a 222mm shock or whatever the equivalent metric is and short shock again.

Yes normally you can- but you need to look out that the chainstays doesnt collide with the seattube etc.

Ans that the hub and Eye to Eye is close to an 222mm... So maybe 225x75?

Looks like i'm late for another party Big Grin Anyway, i've always lusted after a voltage as its perfect for the UK as a mini DH - last year I managed to pick up a 2015 FR20 pretty cheap as a project after buying a lot of things I probably shouldn't have and a few ebay bargains its finally complete (only the frame, pedals, and rims/hubs are original)

Full spec

2015 FR20
Shimano Saint brakes
Zee 165 crankset, shifter and derailleur
Boxxers (added charger damper)
Fox Dhx RC4 (small shaft Kashima)
Spank spike 35 vibrocore
Raceface Atlas stem
Ergon GE1 grips
Sunringle rims laced to Pro4 hubs
Dual Minion DHR II 2.4 (DH casing)
Ergon Smd 2 Pro Ti Saddle
Brendog DMR Vaults

As said its mainly for UK but have built it big enough for a trip to Morzine this year

The only thing i'm looking out for is a black chainguide and bash, i've also forgot to put on a set of stealth black boxxer graphics I got from Slik over christmas

Your bike is looking good and pretty up to date, I was a huge fan of voltages back in the day, remember seeing up to10 of them at glentress in one day but funny thing is av not seen one in the last 2/3 years apart from my 2 cracked frames that are hanging in my workshop.

Probably the rarest shock mount side as it didn’t come as factory on any model but came in the 3 piece shock mount kit that sold out very quickly, tho few folk might have a set spare here

Just looked myself, Westbrook cycles defo didn’t have that amount of stock back when I was a full time voltage rider! Proper impressed with the amount of spares they have! Even the super rare parts, must of got a large stock of voltage parts once the voltage was discontinued. May buy a few rare parts myself for my collection

I am 100% sure I have short dropouts, and I had 215mm shock mounts also, but I would need to check.
I probably could post to UK... Shoot me a PM if interested...

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2015 Scott Voltage FR730 and I'm wondering if I can get some advice on what coil strength I need. I weigh 125 pounds and am currently running a 400-pound coil which I can tell is too heavy because I'm only getting around 15% sag and using about 70-80% of the travel on big hits. I'm thinking about trying a 300-pound coil first, does that sound like a good place to start?
