Food porn. Why this doesn't replace turkey at Thanksgiving will always confound me.

I foundmy spirit animal.

Alberta's back in lockdown, good times ahead. I'll bet canada is the first country to require vaccine passports to travel outside the house.

Actually, compared to the rest of the world, Canada is pretty far down the list for handling the pandemic well. This country can be really f*cking stupid sometimes.

I read Florida passed legislation that no business can request a vaccine passport. Well done, lead don't follow.

We hire crooks to lead our government agencies. BC paid the last health services ceo 320k and he screwed us out of 100k of expenses, approved millions of dollars of useless ppe gear....and then severance to get rid of him. Was highly recommended by our health minister....

Jordan Peterson said that power mimics greatness. And when we the people choose to vote in leaders to the positions s of power while we are under the hypnosis of believing that we are choosing excellence, we expose our own weakness. And when the time comes that calls for greatness in a moment of adversity, we realize that all we chose was someone who was only there for the wealth of power, but bankrupt in excellence.

Great quote...

There's one I love from a book I read ages ago: "People are always talking about demanding more and better performance from elected officials, but when you get right down to it, shouldn't a democracy demand more and better performance from the citizens who vote? If they do their job well, then the quality of those they elect will naturally follow."

Jordan Peterson is a smart guy, and he definitely catches a lot of heat from the lefties for some of his opinions, but he's totally right. Personally, I've never believed anyone working in Canadian politics has the quality of "excellence". This country's political system is a joke, I can't even take anything they say or do seriously.
