It seems like the building boom is slowing down here and I am not getting nearly the calls for bassic excavator work.. I am already trying to think of other ideas and a vac trailer setup seems like an interesting setup.

3 of the top Ukraine/Elenskyy mafia bought 3 properties in Switzerland (public data) for $27m. Not bad for a failed state allegedly at war, broke, and needing billions of western aid. Bank accounts got juiced up nicely.

/

UK govt in total collapse, 3 key resignations, current running total is 9 others, more expected today. Fake Johnson comedy puppet regime falling apart. The UK public were warned he is a bare faced liar but no, good old bubbly jubbly Boris and his bumbling clown act.

/

Holland farmers fighting back with wider public support against govt forced starvation program (30% cut in agricultural activity). Govt wants you dead, poor, hungry, weak and broken. But nah, that’s pure conspiracy theory.

Clownworld ain’t a happy place right now.

Goodbye Boris soon enough , the Big top’ is buzzin’ with excitement as the biggest clown suit is up for grabs in the very near future it seems

30% f*cking hell , I’d rather take a clog to the head. That’s insane

Wondering when the farms here will be govt. owned, a lot of them have been turned into summer let’s (outbuildings etc) , while the land is poorly managed

Boris on now...

They’re twittering that they’re quitting just as he’s talking. 3 walked out.

UK farming chaos caused by a) DEFRA run by incompetent boffins and city idiots and b) planned destruction of agriculture.

Must be way beyond MK Ultra, Terrorvision, MSM and socialist media now. DARPA has some weird behaviour modification technology and other strange stuff.

Drove to and from the big city yesterday. Good times. Cows in the road, wacky races driving, head on Hail Mary passing on winding Andean mountain roads. Various vehicles puking black smoke. 20 workers in the back of a dump truck hanging on for dear life. Small cars with 12” rims and one corner ready to fold over like a cheap deck chair. I don’t even bother taking photos any more. Day in the life.

Had to drive across the city, full mental. Guy asked me if I liked the local driving. I told him the drivers here are better than in Vancouver. “El Chino”. Just adopt the local driving style and flow. Brute force, territorialism, small yields to big, pedestrians are moving or stationary targets, and liberal use of the honk gets you from A to B faster. The faster you attack intersections the more likely you are to get through than be snagged in traffic, ditto using two lanes rather than one. All lanes are used for passing, even if they are marked left/right turn lanes. Same with highways, pick a lane, any lane, or two, and GO hard.

I can't fukn believe that Fox Racing sold to Vista Outdoor.

When Vista bought Bell/Giro/Blackburn they came in talking about how they'd leave leadership alone and just figure out how to work their other action sports brands into their solid systems. Within 18 months all 3 brands had MASSIVE leadership changes and were taking massive shits. Huge layoffs. Stock took a massive hit. Then people started quitting.

They were down to 1.... ONE engineer working on helmets.

It's taken them like 4-5 years just to get back to where they were.

If I was in leadership at Fox there's no way in hell I'd sell to that company.

Now they have 3 huge helmet brands that overlap markets.

Buying someone like 661 or something like that or Dharco would have made sense if they were looking for apparel and safety equipment.

I"m also surprised it's not front page news on PB yet.

Maybe Fox management / owners had made their money and we're ready to live a less stress filled life ( maybe they are reading gnars posts ). Not a bad way to go out !

It's not the brightest of times... people spreading positive vibes and good energy are few and far between.

a number of wonderful folks I know who own businesses or are in leadership roles are tapping out because the ugliness is coming from all directions and there's no joy.

being awesome ain't easy and folks is tired

for fox I imagine the fatigue is the same...

sailing off into the sunset trendier than wet leg

To be fair dude, I've been pretty critical of the quality of their products for a while. The prices they command do not reflect the quality imo.

If I could you bet your ass I'd cash in and move on to the better life.

I don't blame them for selling. I'm just a bit surprised that they sold to Vista and a bit surprised that vista bought them. I'm curious what the plan is. Guess we'll see in a couple years how they all play together.

It was fantastic a decade or two ago,

You could fire arseholes.
You could say boo to a goose.
You could tear a strip off someone and they’d learn from it, and you could have a beer with them at the pub without tantrums and tears.
You could literally be fighting with someone at work and still get pissed drunk with them.
People had respect, integrity, work ethic and came to the office to do a day of work, get ahead, learn something, push on and strive. Now people attend work as they see fit and spend 80% of the day working on inclusivity & diversity projects. There’s customers? Who knew.

True story. Back in the day I had to fire an ex SAS guy who had PTSD, honourable discharge, had trained Bin Lids top guys and had taken a bullet to protect some foreign royal family member.

We talked for 30 minutes and he knew I had no option but to fire him for his conduct. We shook hands as security guards waited in the shadows to pounce (not necessary) and he said “guv, you’ve been more than fair to me, anyone else would’ve fired me weeks ago”. He’d had two invisible undocumented extra “final warnings. He got extra severance pay.

His final crime? Doing donuts in a delivery van on someone’s front lawn “because they pissed me off”. lol

Management isn’t like that any more. You get counselled because you failed to acknowledge your pronouns in your email footer. You get marginalized because wrong gender, race, sexual preference. The best, brightest and smartest are sidelined.

Leave them to it. The dregs and dross working together to destroy businesses.

They get what they deserve. A world of joyless, soulless corporate misery.

sometimes I feel the same Relapse... but there's a big circle...

No doubt there's engineers, designers, marketing folks etc at Fox that are saying they want more money to be able to afford the cost of living... and there's customers saying the products should be cheaper

Even if I only paid myself $2 an hour and spent the next year working on it full time, I wouldn't be able to make a lower as nice as a rockshox or a fox lower, never mind internals, crowns, etc... so how much value is there

they're non-essential expenditures so I guess the price purely reflects the profit fox wants and what customers are willing to pay

all that said I think fox racing is just softish goods... not the suspension... could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time
