I don't know anything at all about the technical aspects of photography, but purely from a riders perspective I think it would be shot something with more interesting terrain or scenery. A photo of a DH bike on a smooth piece of seemingly flat trail doesn't inspire me to do anything. 2 cents

It can do if insta shot right. Similarly someone dropping off a cliff can be meh of it is taken badly.

Get low, close, and use a high shutter to kind of shoe horn more action in

Between the tree and the end of the frame? I think in theory it would make it better but it does not distract me at all.

Yeah that's what I thought. Thanks guys.

Also try to bring up the shadows on the rider(black face is meh)

I always shoot raw and add some exposure to the darker parts of the rider.

What tripod/head is that?

Graf Studioball head to Ries J600 tripod legs. It's probably one of the most stable field tripod/head combos ever made. Beautiful piece of equipment if i do say so myself.

O+

So got pretty lucky and got invited up the top of the church tower in the city centre, pretty cool view point, well worth the ghetto ass ladders and beams to get up there!

Struggling with getting silouhetted clouds to not turn too dark though, was using a nd filter at the time, and had a bit of play editing them, any tips?
