A standard 9V battery on a separate circuit. I had to raise the battery housing and butcher it slightly to get it to clear the tone pot but, it's all fully functioning and the battery can be replaced in 30 seconds.
Its sounds sketch but you could always hollow out more room, like an inch by two inches. I know how you feel my 9v(emg's) sits pretty snug in there with all the other crap, im not sure I'd be able to do the 18v version without making more room.
Anyone have any experience with EMG 707 pickups? Looking at a new guitar that has them, but haven't had time to actually go try it out yet, so I'm just curious what you guys think of them. Would be my first guitar with active pickups as well.
I have emg active pick ups and I'm gonna just go with you're safe with them. I haven't had those ones but I have a 81s and 85s but mine are great and emg is great quality.
