Been playing the guitar for like 5 years now but had to have a year off as I dislocated every finger on my fretting hand, only just starting to regain the strength to actually hammer-on and pull-off power chords again but I used to be pretty good (if I do say so myself). My only problem was that I was shy so never recorded myself playing before my year off.

I currently have a Dean Razorback Slime Bumblebee (I'll post a pic when I get home, as the one I have on my phone is shite) but I used to have a ESP LTD - H308 8 String (maximum Djent) when I wanted to piss around with all sorts of different tuning (can't be bothered to set up the Floyd on the Dean again), an Ibanez JEM555-WH (white basically, and unfortunately no pictures but it's not exactly hard to guess what it looks like).

However my pride and joy was my Blackmachine B6, which I decided to sell when I had my injury as I couldn't justify keeping it on the off chance I wouldn't be able to shred again. It was a f*cking amazing guitar, best I have ever had and don't think I will ever have anything like it to match ever again.

I will try and find pictures of the BS and H308 (currently only own the Razorback Frown ) as they were on my previous computer. Will deffo have a pic of the Razorback though.

Don't know if you've heard of them or have one but if you haven't you should look into picking up a gripmaster. This is not a euphemism or a joke. Lol.
www.gripmaster.com
Would be great to regain the strength in your fretting hand plus improve the dexterity in your fingers.

Hey guys I've picked up a drimset a few months ago and have been slowly teaching myself. Really wanna pick up the sounds of the red hot chilli peppers ahhh I'm having trouble with. And modest mouse because who doesn't love them. Will get I to the arctic monkeys soon and stone temple piolets.
Also play some guitar and play alto sax really well and love it. Love the thread!Smile

Haha I have a drum set to but suck at it, it's mostly for when my buddies come over so they can play my drums and I play my guitar so we can just jam. But they're so fun to play.

I'm a full time mastering engineer - does that count?

I work with all genres of music (no, really, I do). My job is to make your music sound good wherever it's played, irrespective of the song or genre. And to deal with all the picky stuff your mix engineer can't do.

Instruments I play are bass guitar, and Samplitude, a Maselec MLA-2, tons of plugins, a Crookwood C2, Chord SPM1200B and PMC AB1 monitors.

I'm happy to do some trial mastering if you like - no win, no fee. And if you want mixing, get in touch with my brother who runs Westland Studios in Dublin (Miley Cyrus, Bob Dylan, The Corrs, Thin Lizzy, Placebo, U2, Van Morrison etc. etc.)

You can find me here: http://www.msbmastering.ie

I'm part of a music group (not a band) too: http://www.http://adkmusicgroup.com

Now go and make some music or ride!

I was a rock band roadie in San Francisco for 42 years, 1968 to 2010. I worked for the Sons of Champlin, did shows with the Dead, Credence, Airplane, Quicksilver, Byrds, Santana, Steve Miller, Hot Tuna, The Band, Chambers Brothers, Joe Cocker, Linda Ronstadt, Journey, Huey Lewis, Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull, Average White Band, Ike and Tina Turner, Tower of Power, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, all the '60s and '70s groups. Bill Graham once threw me out of the Fillmore personally, a badge of honor in the '60s.

About 25 years ago I started playing in my own bands. These days I have a studio where I get together with a few friends to play in a group I call Funk and Disorderly. Because of my long association with rockers, I know some pretty good musicians. The guys I play with are pros who have real gigs, but mostly we just like to play and drink beer and smoke fatties. It's more fun in the studio than when I played in the house band in a sleazy bar, and you ended up playing to three drunks and making $15.

One of my bandmates is a songwriter whose material has been covered by a lot of groups. I have admired his work for decades, and now he's playing five feet away. I have never had a group that played great original material, every previous group was a cover band

Anyone hang their guitars on the wall? What kind of hanger do you use? Right now I'm looking at these:

They seem to have pretty good reviews. Just curious what everyone else is using.

Literally just put up a wall hanger the other day. That style are wonderful, my local music shop uses similar ones, really nice how the teeth come across. Mine is like this:

Much more simple but does the job nicely!

The thing I really like about the hangers in my link is how they lock when the guitar is in them.
