Too long chain maybe? Or ... the screw which is carrying away the delivriour from the hook is loose? Ive had that problem with my shadow XT...

But to be honest can you post a pic or something to be more precise?

looks like the golden part is in wrong position n.... try to loosen the screw and turn it clock wise till its stopped by the hook than tighten the screw this should help....

this joint should not work during the ride.... anyway this is the case if we speak about XT

yea the gold part should be parallel to the ground, when its like this its pushing the chain against the cassette more making it loud Smile

right lets clear a couple of things up here.

1,are you running a road block or an mtb block.
2,did you leave the black spacer in for the mtb block.
3,have you screwed in the b tension adjustment screw on the back of the mech near to where your cable goes in.

see the silver screw just behind where the cable goes in,that should adjusted so that the mech doesnt hit the chainstay or adjusted to give 6mm of clearance between the upper jockey wheel and your smallest and largets cog.

have you removed the black spacer on the back of the gold bit.

I have an 08 giant glory8 frame, and my Saint mech has never done this. I took it outta the plastic and just bolted it on, added the chain and I was away. I do need to take a few links out of my chain. But so far it's had no knocking or hitting at all.

I use a road block BTW. And I can't find the thing u remove to make it an MTB block or Road block??
