Why gx shifter? Would be better with a xx1 no?

It came with the GX shifter (S kit). I considered replacing it, but it feels solid enough, I don't need the adjustable trigger, and its lighter.

This is my Nomad C, size large. Taken at La Tierra Trails in Santa Fe, NM.

This is my first PB post! I have a 5010 CC build in the works that I will post when finished...

Nice bike and amazing location! I grew up in Los Alamos and my parents have since retired to Santa Fe. The riding out there is incredible. The Windsor is so underrated. I have spent some time doing trail work clearing the Borrego, Capulin, and Nambe. Northern NM is a gem.

I’m about sick of this snowy bullshit in CO right now, may have to jet down there to shred trails here soon.

Oof yeah I have to agree, the action of the XO and XX is distinctly more crisp than the GX shifter. The adjustable reach is cool too.

Just seems a bit odd with the rest of the fancy kit. https://bikerumor.com/2016/03/24/sram-xx1-x01-eagle-specs-actual-weights/ has them both at 124g, so it's 2 grams.

How much did you pay for the paintjob?

less than you'd think , won't say exactly as every job is different depending on complexity and finish , but it was worth every penny

Why not tell us? I don't need exact numbers, just a figure I can work with.

Seriously? Wow. That's a lot of money for this paintjob. You can get two Direttissimas for that kinda money.

Haha I missed that. It would be funny if he ended up hating new XTR though.
