As for ratios I would suggest starting with the front cog being twice the size of the rear plus 3 or 4 teeth for example 29-13, 32-14, 34-15 would all be decent ratios. also the DMR simple tensioner is very good vale and keep really sold if you do it up nice and tight. You will need to retighten over time but its a good peice of kit.
