i'd imagine the foes wouldn't be spectacular when pointed uphill but it is sexy! so for me 8/10 (droolness - versatility)

I really like both of them, but how come you want to go back to the hardtail? I've read that the Scott's ride like hardtails anyway..

*edit* and 8/10 on both of them. The Foes wouldn't be so nice going up, but it's an AM machine all around

the scott feels really big and bulky, i ride a lot of road so i prefer the lighter, racier feel of the kinesis, the scott also weighs about 1.7kg more than the kinesis which you can feel on the uphill, either way someone will be getting a huge bargain on a scott genius frame very soon

Thats why im never going to buy a full blown race bike because when you go back to a regular bike or a larger travel All-Moutain bike it feeks like a tank.
Nice rides people

it is allot harder to ride up hill but that's why I bought it I was having to ride my bike up to 8 HRS a day to get a good work out but now I get the same work out in about 4 HRS
and don't go thru a couple of frames a year any more
I bet that kinesis is really fast on single track

@ blakel

you should get a road bike for the road, so much faster and more responsive
