It's a pretty stupid idea for a few reasons;

First, carbon has a fatigue limit and cycle life. Your frame is likely well past that point, and really shouldn't be ridden past a show off ride. It may fail somewhat harshly due to the life you've given it.

Secondly, the headtube was never made for that amount of leverage, ESPECIALLY on a frame of that vintage. You're vastly increasing the likelihood of the headtube sheering off. Not sexy.

Thirdly, the bike most likely doesn't ride any better now that it has a jacked BB and slack head angle.

Essentially; you took a really cool retro bike that many would consider a step away from art and put it into a situation where it can easily fail, and for basically no benefit.

I'd highly suggest getting a modern bike with geometry made for the riding style you're pushing this frame into. A grand into a hardtail will get you a bike that most certainly rides better and doesn't put you in risk.

Wtf is it with extended front travel and geometry? I can keep pace with fast as f*ck riders. Is this geometry for my health or will it make me faster. My goal is to be fast as f*ck

if your goal is to be fast, dont ride a hardtail

Given that you can keep up with riders you describe as fast as f*ck and your goal is to be fast as f*ck, I'd say you are set. Goals achieved, congratulations.

lmao, im sorry but that was just hilarious to read. says stans wheels are shit, and then posts his bike with arc24s. stans arent the greatest but arc rims are basically gorgonzola.

He says arc24 in the original post, then stans flow in the second..and the picture clearly shows stans flow. Much confused.

Maybe on a 6" trail bike but fit for purpose...

And rims do not make a wheel.

Sorry, I don't follow. Where is the contradiction?
