Daaaaammmnnnn the helm is my favorite fork ever. Airways wanted to run one on a DJ but I have too many pike djs to warrant it. That's gonna be a hot build!

The cane creek fork on a dirtjumper eh? Never seen that before.

Why did you choose that fork? Instead of the new Marzocchi bomber

Looks ace. Love the cane creek! Always think it's cool to see forks that aren't the standard pike/36/argyle/DJ etc (Coming from a guy who's running a lowered Suntour Aion and finding it awesome)

Because... Why not! No but a marzocchi DJ is 899€ in europe, and i got the helm slightly used for 350€.

So is the helm a 27.5 fork?

It is, but imo it looks way better than many other brands 27.5" fork with a 26" wheel.

so cane creek let’s you lower it that far? On the website it says only 130mm -170mm! That’s an awesome looking build!

TRAVEL ADJUSTMENTS
Internal, 10mm Increments (170mm down to 100mm) 2 Travel spacers included.

This is what it says on the web to me atleast!

sweet! I might have to pick one up! Always looking for DJ fork options because mine is a kids XC fork. (RockShox Reba) I am a kid so it’s not that bad but if I land hard enough I can hear and feel the fork flex

it may look better but what about ride? Cause effectively at 26" and 100mm travel your front end will be 0.75" higher than a 26" fork would be.

I'm no engineer, far from it in fact but most people go down to 80mm when they use a 27.5 fork so their frame geometry is as it should be

Yes i am aware of that, but my frame is made for forks up to 140mm. And I would like a slightly slacker head angle than 69’ so I think this will be great! But only time will tell.
