ahh yes! Love the Bombers on it. This thread needs more posts. I still see these bikes around. Still riding mine too.

Yes! I am trying to find a PBR one nearby (although thatis more of a low priority as yet Another bike just for me isn't what I need right now...) and then I have been wanting a purple one with red lettering, and then a black 2008 (specifically) 66 and the red and white revolution wheelset. If I have the time for that build I would be tempted to get the rear linkage CNC'ed with little curliques and then enameled red. Black linkage with red pretty's through them? Yow.

I would of course have to do the same thing with the pivot bolts Smile

Last week I finally let my suspension be really squishy and I was.... way faster! I am just used to keeping the squish a bit harder than it should be because it's more... whats the best way to say this, ...predictable? but then I was able to bash through things faster and I am happy tup

Finally joined the Bottlerocket gang, first ride out today and can totally see why they made such an impact all those years ago. What an absolute joy to mess about in the woods on

I love the modern transition paint job on it! Is that on 27.5 wheels or still 26?

Thanks guys, can’t take any credit it for the build. Bought it as is a couple days ago to chuck around the local woods. Last time I rode a bike was 15 years ago on a BMX so it’s pretty alien right now to throw it about.

Needs the suspension setting up and a decent seat for sure though

Unless he changed it they are always 26" Mate Smile Steezy...

Right. The fork is quite new as well as 26” tires in tan wall are pretty hard to find. I know a few have gone to 27.5, I’ve been hunting for wheels to do it myself.

Any pictures of one on 27.5" ?

Just been reading through his build, what a fantastic looking bike. But 160mm front travel, Is that not a bit much or quite common on these ?

They shipped with 160mm travel up front; a lot of people including myself run bigger forks though. I like 180mm up front since its my park bike and I ride a lot of tech trails.

Marzocchi 66's or Totem for me... both 180mm, for the same reason as mrfrench up there Salute . I was definetly thinking it might be too much the first couple of weeks I built mine but it has been lovely tup

Just switched over to a 27.5 front wheel, mini mullet style. Feels odd, although going to give it a couple weeks
