so what if it's stock? it's sexy, and thats what the thread is about..
.. but yes, its a repost
Eh, we'd honestly prefer non-stock bikes unless they're just hitting the market. Most of us appreciate the stock photos for the first weeks or so of it coming up, but after that we expect custom builds.
It's not that it's a nice bike or not, it undebatably is, we've just seen it before.
if you prefer non-stock bikes, name the thread sexiest non-stock downhill bikes/frames. not trying to be a dick here, but a sexy bike is a sexy bike, old, new, stock or custom ..
Actually as stated before, in the thread rules in the opening paragraph it says no stock bikes.
Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://www.pdcracing.com/bikes/DH/side.jpg Here's another frame that just didn't make it but was undeniably awesome.
oh back then i sooo wanted a pdc... it was an awesome design!
You don't have to appreciate the "bike" but to not appreciate the frame is ignorant.
That frame is probably from 2006, the scarab was a completely steel constructed high pivot frame that was ahead and behind the times.
Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://www.darkcycles.com/images/scarab_green_big.jpg hugely reliable, beautifully made, and well priced. It was a rock eater, sadly it came around at a time where dual link suspension (VPP, DW, ect) was seen as a god send and its pivot placement was overlooked by many, as well as that was when geometry started to vastly change and within a couple years this frame was obsolete, doesn't take away from the fact that it was one of the underdog gems of our industry.

Ignorant or not that bike/frame is a donkey that needs shooting.

Agreed man, they're gorgeous. I like carbon, but I enjoy good welds and exotic frames. I like to think that it is good to have different taste, if everyone liked the same thing, it would be extremely boring.

And if reading isn't your forté, just look at the bikes previously posted, and observe the lack of stock bikes... inb4continuedhazing

well yes, but the whole idea is stupid.. it's like you can change the valve-caps and voila its not stock anymore
