Well the camera I use to film saves the files as .mp4, but I can't seem to find any movie editors which'll import this type of file. I've tried downloading codecs and using windows movie maker but even that won't work.

Any solutions?

Windows Movie Maker won't read .MP4 files. Download a free tool called "Any video converter" and it will convert them into .WMV files which it can read it. Also, google "Export HD in Windows Movie Maker" and there is some codecs you can download that will allow Windows Movie Maker to export video in HD (if you are using Windows XP).

Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere will read MP4 files directly but you'll have to pay for them.

One way is to convert MP4 to Windows Movie Maker more supported WMV, AVI

Another way is to edit MP4 with another editing software.
