For Crankworx Whistler, ten years have passed faster than anyone could have imagined and there are so many amazing moments to look back upon that show how far the sport of mountain biking has come. The ‘360 Heard Around the World’, Paul Basagoitia, Brandon Semenuk, Anthony Messere, Cam Zink, Jill Kintner, Steve Smith, Casey Brown and so many more…

Riders have been crowned kings, queens and princes, slopestyle champions have come and gone and ten years later, the phenomenon that has become Crankworx Whistler has continued to evolve.

 Wow, so many good memories over the years. Happy to say I filmed and photo'd a lot of it in the early years. Too bad this video is missing the 2005 4X, where Mick Hannah and Cedric launched the quadruples. Claw spinning the road gap that same year was definitely the game changer.

 One of my favourite memories was during dual slalom semi's when a rider totally ate it straight out of the gate then came back to win it.

 i must admit i didnt know slopestyle was pretty much already at the current level 10 years ago. (yes slopestyle progressed for sure but nevertheless I wasnt aware that it didnt change that much)

 It brings back great memories, I was responsible for the event from 2004 o 2006 and we where trying to create a good event for everyone to enjoy, it really has gone from a good event to a great event, tanks to Seb Fremont and the Whistler team for all the hard work.

 It will be the tenth installment, but not the 10th anniversary is my understanding. 04 was the first, 05 2nd, 06 3rd, etc.... 2013 10th. However 05 was the first "anniversary," since one year passed since the first one. So 2013 will be the 9th "anniversary," 10th annual event.
