Famed for a single ride out in the rain that redefined both over-used cliches 'epic' and 'all-time' simultaneously, we're also lead to believe there's a lot more to come from Mr Danny Hart. A shaky start to 2014 in the Southern Hemisphere was quickly corrected by a flurry in and around the podium with 3rd, 7th and 3rd in Fort William, Leogang and Mont St Anne respectively. Sure, when the going gets steep and the tear-offs start to fly he is one of two go-to-guys for that miracle run to keep our stoke levels roaring for the next thousand years, but the truth is Hart could take a win any time or place on the circuit. And with a fresh team anything is all the more possible...
PB: 1: Where and how have you been spending your off-season? | I've been at home in Redcar and have been off to Europe a few times, why would I want to go anywhere else!? Redcar has it all! I have been riding my bike, and up to Christmas riding a lot of motocross, probably the same as most other DH riders out there... - Danny |
PB: 2. What was the highlight of your 2014 season and why was it so significant to you? | It was cool to get on the podium a couple of times, winning the Red Bull Hardline was quite good, then signing with my new team, Ms Mondraker, that was good! - Danny |
PB: 3. Was there a moment or period you considered to be your season ‘low’ and for what reason? | Coming a cropper at world champs in Hafjell when I was on a really good run! - Danny |
PB: 4. Are there changes you are looking to make to your approach mentally or physically for 2015? | There have been a lot of changes for me going to the new season, I am riding really well, enjoying my team, and I am just going to take it as it comes. No specific changes though - Danny |
PB: 5. How have you split your time between ‘on’ and ‘off’ the big bike training? | I'd been spending a lot of time on my MX bike before Christmas. I stopped after that, so I could work specifically on bike riding and training. I don't do a lot really, spending time with my girlfriend, Sophia and dog, Ruby - Danny |
PB: 6. When inspiration has run low lately, to whom or what have you turned to kick your motivation levels up a gear? | Yeah when I'm not feeling into it I just think about how much I want to win a world cup. There isn't really one person I turn to, or not consciously anyway, maybe I do with out realizing... I have good people around me all the time so my friends and family help me a lot - Danny |
PB: 7. What bit of kit are you looking forward to using most at the races? | Definitely my Mondraker Sumum Carbon - Danny |
PB: 8. Which rider do you see as the biggest threat to the 2015 title? | There's loads of fast guys, it would be rude of me to try and single one out - Danny |
PB: 9. Which race or single moment of the coming season are you most excited for? | I am looking forward to World Champs in Andorra... I really enjoy this track. As well as Fort William! - Danny |
PB:10. Complete the sentence: ‘I won’t be racing a single World Cup without....' | ...my awesome team, MS Mondraker, who provide me with the best equipment out there. I wouldn't be out there either if it wasn't for my family, which I am the most appreciative for - Danny |

Anyone care to translate that into "School-English"? I mean, I get what he means, but what exactly does it mean?
