I only ride at 80%, on a good day. Can I still ride in 100% gear?

100% with your heart is all that matters Smile

"Whether you’re riding the trails, checking off enduro stages, or making DH runs, there’s a kit specifically engineered to make your ride better." say goodbye to your 80% with this kit

That's the 20% you are currently missing!

Sorry 100% - but no matter how hard you guys try, it will always be a step behind the "Bi-Turbo Red" colorway...

 Indeed

Ooooh, very Ironman. Would trust those colors alone to protect from trees, Hulk-smashes and the like.

i dont know if you heard yet, but You must have missed the 2017 Aircraft Blazer then! www.ride100percent.com/wp-content/images/helmets/profile/80002-020-BLAZER.png

@ride100percent: no way! The bi turbo red is nicer! Must better red than the 2017 blaze!

The riding clothes look really nice; but I feel like the clown kits are kind of played out now.

I only ride park. In a tee shirt.
  • 8 1
I'm waiting for the Joey look to come back into style. basketball shorts and a hoodie or t-shirt
  • 3 2
Jeans and a tee - it's all ya need!

30 psi in my Minions, don't care about your opinions!
  • 1 0
There's plenty of mtb gear that isn't stylized jerseys and matching shorts. There's gear to appeal to all preferences.
  • 2 0
(Ohhhh sh*t the minion line is from Faster than You! Never mind, I said nothing...)

Funny thing is i went into Target today and the brand called Champion is actually killing it with some solid colored tech tees, techy polos, 3 or 4 way stretch shorts, and a pretty tech jacket that was all black with great venting and fabrics. By tech i mean breathable, stretchy, anti sweat.
  • 1 0
@ryetoast: i dont wear pads i only wear a neck brace
  • 2 0
Most of DH racers are looking for more than a teeshirt though, the "clown kits" gives you more protection while still offering comfortable fit, good breathability with a nice touch of style Smile
  • 1 1
I prefer riding naked. More "aero" that way. Nothing like the feeling of the wind blowing through your "hair".
  • 1 0
@Wesley-Swipes: Club Roost comes to mind!
  • 12 1
 that helmet looks class
  • 25 8
Stupid autocorrect, I know you typed " that helmet looks like ass." I agree..
  • 2 4
@Beez177: Are you Fu#@!ng high? That helmet is pure sex appeal!
  • 3 2
@ridehard84: I tried one on, looks awful in person, felt cheap and wasn't comfortable IMO, and there are so many better options (TLD, Fox, IXS, POC ) once again just my opinion and yes I just smoked a fat one.
If you like it, cool!
  • 2 1
@ridehard84: Their gloves are shit too. Had a pair that fell apart after 2 days!
To be fair, their customer service is very good!
  • 1 0
@Beez177: Have great customer service is one thing, but we would rather hear you being happy about our products. I believed you already sent us some feedback and got sorted? Let us know if it isn't the case, we are always trying to please everyone and improve our products, season after season.

I bet they'll sell a ton to Yeti owners
  • 5 2
Looking at the all mountain gear and thinking that the Celium line looked okay in terms of cut etc.. ...until I saw that the only colour options were "cone orange" or "Tie-dye Black." Someone put out a 75% line that comes in colours that are a little more relaxed and casual.
  • 5 0
$170 all mountain shorts. Seems fair...........
  • 5 0
Just lap in skinnies and a hoodie on a chainless 26" lapping only A-Line

Anyone using the helmet and would they recommend for, dare I say it Enduro racing. Racing folks. Not wanking around the woods or clipping along a trail centre. Actually racing with a mandatory requirement. That's why I'm asking. Please don't endurolise me for asking for some oppinions ( I'm also aware asking for opinions on PB is dangerous)
  • 1 0
Most of our Enduro riders only use the Aircraft now. It is not that hot, you can remove the chin pads for more room and breathability going up hill, and with its 25 vents and channels it is the most ventilated helmet on the market. Some of our staff are also racing Enduro and use the Aircraft over a half shell, purely by personal preference.

How come MIPS went from a safety feature that pinkbike mentioned as something that may add safety not has yet to have been scientifically tested to something that pinkbike now pushes as one more reason you must but this product. I feel like I am listening to a sales person. Vern used to seem way more objective. I read pinkbike articles to learn about my favorite pass time, not to be a (more of a) pawn to this business. Pinkbike spend more time learning what riders would like instead of telling them what they would like please.
  • 9 0
PB isn't "pushing" for you to be a MIPS pawn buy announcing the 100% helmet has MIPS in it. Hakuna your tatas
  • 3 0
Brain damage from rotational forces is a fricking big issue. Putting MIPS into the helmet you produce is the easiest and cheapest way of saying that you care about it or just getting it off your head. And BTW in 2 years probably all helmets will have it. Having MIPS in there is like stickers on food: GMO free, 1% for rain forest, Fair Trade - it helps, but doesn't really solve the problem of malnutrition or environmental damage. It makes you feel better about your consumption that's the only clear thing there. My next helmet will be 6D, just because it makes the most sense to me of everything else that's available.

What I would love to know most is that why sports with disproportionally more money thant MTB, like moto, car racing, why have they never talked about features minimizing brain damage from rotational forces? Shoei, Arai, Bell, Dainese, TL fricking D? Especially when graphs show that higher the impact velocity the more difference in rotational damage there is between mipsy and non-mipsy helmets, and obviously street motorbikes have the biggest problem here. Especially because brain injuries from rotational forces is not exactly a 5-10 year old science, as much as I have managed to dig into it.

Quite frankly I'd love to see guys from Mips, 6D, some scientists, and helmet companies to have a recorded chat here, a panel where they could clear the air a bit, because for now no regular man can have any idea what this is all about. Hövding guys would be nice to have here as well.

Throw me a fricking bone here...

@WAKIdesigns: Thanks for the words on this, safety is definitely a number one priority while designing any protective gear, especially helmets, and any new technology helps. Let's see if @pinkbike can host a safety "ask me anything" with people from Mips in the future.
  • 2 0
@ride100percent: that would not work, we need confrontation of ideas of people who know what they talk about. If there's not enough miney in this mtb industry to sponsor research and quality peer evaluation of it then let's at least have an open debate.
  • 1 0
Additionally, there are other alternatives to mips. Now where's that eurobike link....
  • 1 0
@WAKIdesigns: I think rotational injuries are not as much of an issue in motor sports due to the speed involved. Most mountain bikes accept for pro dhrs don't break 40 kmh. That is why the friendly sales person at the local motocross emporium do not recommend more lids for mtb. I don't have an issue with mips. But with my limited interneting it seems unproven like a neck brace. I did not like the way that Vern used it as a selling feature. I do wear a neck brace. Idk if I will pay much extra for mips on my next kid. As far as gmo food. These are as stickers that idiot use to circle jerk uh I mean pat themselves on the back with. Like the morons who drive their cars to protest a pipeline. Feel good don't think about the bs that your using to be self righteous uhh I mean feel good about. The green revolution was something that happened in the 60s. Technology allowed better crops to save the lives of millions. But gmo is bad...

@WAKIdesigns: the grammar/punctuation/general readability of your comment is on another level today waki, is everything alright?
  • 1 0
WOW... 169 bucks for the "All Mountain Shorts" and 99 for the DH... is this right?
  • 1 0
100% makes the only gloves i truly like but its near impossible to find any in size 2XL, please 100% more 2XL options!!!!
  • 1 0
Sorry for that, we already added an extra size since our first launch, but we will keep this in mind.
  • 1 0
@ride100percent: thank you, it will be verryyy much appreciated!

Finally!! I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who has been waiting for this...

 one colourway?
  • 3 0
As far as I know for now, which annoys me as we have good connection with 100% but I dislike the yellow/light blue. At Eurobike they looked to have a range of possible future designs, though most still appear to be coloured like an 8 year olds pajamas.. p.vitalmtb.com/photos/captions/2813/full_100_Clothing_4.jpg?1472836770 .

Ben Davis and Pendelton MTB Apparel is good too.

You ride in Ben Davis shirts?

 Helmet+Goggles+Jersey+Gloves+Shorts+Socks = 600%, Isn't that pretentious?
  • 2 0
 That sounds fast.
  • 1 4
And there's still a huge hole in the mtb world for tech-casual style mtb gear. There's a few at the high end, tld has like 2 or 3 hybrid shorts, club ride, but not a ton out there.
  • 9 0
 I prefer business casual
  • 1 0
Fuck yeah!! I always try to match my tie to the color of dirt that's on my tires.
  • 2 0
There's a Canadian company selling MTB polos for $200 or so, of that's your thing
  • 3 0
Pretty much any hiking shorts are casual bike shorts in neutral colors. Poly Ts are all the same and shouldn't cost $60. Buy a soccer jersey or a running tank for half the cost with normal colors. No need to wait for products for biking. The accessory game is a racket in all sports, and is meant to pad sales numbers.

@jrocksdh Check the site and the "more" tab, you would be surprised how high end our All Mountain collection actually is.

@flores726: if u have the money, i love their style. Funny thing is champion(found at target) has some jackets, long sleeves, that have a similiar toned down look for 1/4 of the price(my budget-especially for stuff i fall in/snag on branches),,their stuff is either golf or mix use.
  • 2 3
 Fuck Target.

@therealtylerdurden: until ur there with ur gf and she takes u to the lingerie dept..do u like these honey? Y, y yes i do we shld come to target more honey
