There's nothing like some raw World Cup footage to get you in the mood for the upcoming season opener of the Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup, kicking off next weekend in Lošinj, Croatia.
@fatduke: well, I take it with a bit of salt, because even Joe Rogan is freaking out every time they should show something from youtube during a podcast. Youtube takes down lots of sht automatically for nothing
Cathro needs an official sponser, *cough* PB *cough*. He's my second favorite next to Claudios preview run for pre race banter. Wyntv is more fun and games, or fights, and rarely talk about the actual track or studying different lines, or geeking out over little details that matter. Cathro is the best thing we DH geeks have. #Cathrovision4life
@Boardlife69: Yeah man, I second that. Cathro is a great rider and has his youtube channel while following the SDA (Scottish Regional series) and it's awesome! I would love to see him on the world cup circuit again. Great guy and rider!
@Boardlife69: 100% Ben knows his shit and has a manner about him that makes him very watchable by all. By comparison Red Bulls commentary and race analysis is poor. Bring Ben Back!
@rubbertoe: That video gets me hot to trot! I think it is my favorite of all the mtb videos, it is just so well done and gets me so stoked to go shred.
I've noticed that in certain corners all these guys come through with a little bit of roost off the back (at 10:45 for example). Is that from the drift that naturally occurs at the speed these guys carry or are they deliberately throwing in a bit of a cuttie to quicken the steering?
OMG thank you! that makes a lot more sense, damn i'm an idiot. sorry pb. I'd also like to blame my very poor eyesight. He kinda rides like Gwin i guess tho, watch out guys this kid's in elite now!!!
Canadian problem.... When will RedBull TV release to footage of the 2017 World Championship??? Still haven't seen that race and it pisses me off... I understand live was not an option for us but a few months later.. come on. Thank you
@Clem-mk: think it may be partly to his tall handlebar, he runs a tall rise bar, personal preference, but kinda old school by the trends, and troy brosnan's bars are old school narrow, but hes not a big bloke, so it works for him. i love learning about their spec choices on their bikes, one of the best things keeping racing interesting IMO, if they had to run bikes the way they came from the manufacturers they would just be fast mtb fashion models. but i also love what it says about bike setup choice in general: nobodies wrong!
after rewatching this after it made me go ride my bike, thats totally gwin on a specialized!!!! why pinkbike are you recycling older footage and calling it last season, (face palm) id like an explanaition, and you could give me a job while youre at it. lol

It's Finn Iles, you can read the name on the jersey around 7:20. They're not passing off old footage, just juniors.
With down country being the big crazy right now I have a hard time separating the two.
