Man, Kyle Strait still crushes it after like 20 years in the game. Saw him slamming Natty Lights and tacos between runs at Rampage and he instantly became my favorite rider.
Probably because I can relate to slamming crappy beer, but can't relate to hucking my body off cliffs.
Ha, can confirm this story. Worked/volunteered this year, I got stationed close to the outlet of his practice runs where family/friends had set up shop. Always down for a good time.
Max Fredriksson just did a whole video building that bike up with a new Marzocchi fork and Shimano bits and now it has his old RockShox and Sram stuff on it.
@CalvR: How could they drop him? I am pretty sure the have something called contract which you can´t just drop.
I guess he had some problems with the fork and the Shimano chain ring probably didn´t arrive before leaving, as he said in the bike build video that it isn´t the right size

You should be extremely disappointed. Most of the bikes Hyper makes are trash "bike shaped objects" sold at stores like Walmart and spec'd with no name plastic components. They would literally shake apart on legit singletrack. It's kind of like how Mongoose makes a couple decent DJ and DH frames and everything else they produce is garbage.
@freeridejerk888: got it - I never see their stuff in my local shops. I gather them and Hyper have a much bigger Socal presense, which is a pretty big market by itself.
@Landonop: cough* teocali cough* canaan cough* but yea they are a different breed, the only thing in common with walgooses is the name since they are cascaded from pacific cycle
What, your kidding, all bikes don't have Minions...Actually, it's good to see so many different tires used on the bikes at Crankworx. However, I did not think they would be using Ikon's, and even Kaos Seagrave's Canyon Stitched bike has a "Racing Ralph" on the rear? The Racing Ralph would be very light & good for speed but wonder about durability hitting the big jumps? Could be using a tire insert on rear maybe...
Thought the same thing but agree with other commenters that it is likely a half link chain. The "top" is smooth so from a distance, one could easily think it's a belt
