The “center of the cycling universe” is finally offering an event to meet the needs of the world’s most avid riders! The 1st Annual Vancouver Bike Show will take place at the new Vancouver Convention Centre (West Building),
Saturday March 19 and Sunday 20th, 2011.The show will run as a co-located event alongside the 14th annual Vancouver Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show.
“There is huge passion for all disciplines of cycling in Vancouver and we are pleased to create an event to bring the cycling industry together to kick off the 2011 cycling season”, stated Fred Cox, Producer of the Vancouver Bike Show. “With many of the world’s leading cycling manufacturers based in British Columbia, coupled with the community’s interest in bicycle commuting options and green transportation alternatives, we felt it was time to create a first class cycling showcase in Vancouver”.
This new show will feature new riding technology for all disciplines of cycling including mountain bikes, road cycling, commuter and touring bikes and even electric options. Products will be offered from leading manufacturers and retailers with special promotions and pre-season deals on featured products and services. The event will also host many parts and accessories suppliers as well as cycling events, clubs and associations who will promote their rides and services at the show.
The Vancouver Bike Show will also be a part of the National Relay program called “Cycle 4 Cyclebetes”, encouraging students and corporate teams to support groups such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The atmosphere of the area will be electric with participants pedaling hard, music pumping and a positive, exciting energy flowing throughout the show.
Bike show attendees will also be amazed by exciting performances including world-renowned pro-trials riding legend Ryan Leech, pro-rider appearances, plus the Shimano Kids Race to give young riders from three to 11 years their first taste of a race!
The Vancouver Bike Show takes place March 19th and 20th, 2011 at the new Vancouver Convention Centre (West) with free, on-site bike parking.
