The “center of the cycling universe” is finally offering an event to meet the needs of the world’s most avid riders! The 1st Annual Vancouver Bike Show will take place at the new Vancouver Convention Centre (West Building), Saturday March 19 and Sunday 20th, 2011.The show will run as a co-located event alongside the 14th annual Vancouver Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show.

“There is huge passion for all disciplines of cycling in Vancouver and we are pleased to create an event to bring the cycling industry together to kick off the 2011 cycling season”, stated Fred Cox, Producer of the Vancouver Bike Show. “With many of the world’s leading cycling manufacturers based in British Columbia, coupled with the community’s interest in bicycle commuting options and green transportation alternatives, we felt it was time to create a first class cycling showcase in Vancouver”.

This new show will feature new riding technology for all disciplines of cycling including mountain bikes, road cycling, commuter and touring bikes and even electric options. Products will be offered from leading manufacturers and retailers with special promotions and pre-season deals on featured products and services. The event will also host many parts and accessories suppliers as well as cycling events, clubs and associations who will promote their rides and services at the show.

The Vancouver Bike Show will also be a part of the National Relay program called “Cycle 4 Cyclebetes”, encouraging students and corporate teams to support groups such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The atmosphere of the area will be electric with participants pedaling hard, music pumping and a positive, exciting energy flowing throughout the show.

Bike show attendees will also be amazed by exciting performances including world-renowned pro-trials riding legend Ryan Leech, pro-rider appearances, plus the Shimano Kids Race to give young riders from three to 11 years their first taste of a race!

The Vancouver Bike Show takes place March 19th and 20th, 2011 at the new Vancouver Convention Centre (West) with free, on-site bike parking.

Toronto Bike Show is here for us this weekend. We got two actually, spring is for the new gear and the fall is basically a blow-out garage sale. Too bad we don't get fanct 2for1 passes! Overall though, it's pretty good times, and some good deals if you're quick.

this is sick, i moved form ontario and really the toronto bike show gets worse each year with moving into a smaller building. i race bmx and last year we didn't even have dirt to race on, hopefully maybe next year they can incorporate some type of bmx/4x track and hold some weekend races.

Finally, after years of the "Outdoor Show" we have one just for us. Hopefully Endless Biking will show up once again with their killer pump track.

A bike swap would be rad up there. so many riders, with so much extra gear.. imagine the deals to be had!!
SF Bike Expo (& AT's Showdown) was awesome. I can only imagine what it would be like in Vancouver..

They had one years and years ago. Then got rid of it for the "Outdoor Show". I really hope it's back.
I picked up some great deals there.

I can't believe its taken this long for Van to have a bike show of its own. We've had a bike show in Toronto for 25 years now! Probably because we on the east coast spend more time dreaming and shopping for biking rather than riding...

Be careful when buying at these shows. There are some really good deals, but there are also a lot of products where the stores will jack up the regular price, then put a nice sale sticker on it, to get it back to the MSRP... But if you do your research before hand, you can find some great stuff at great prices.

that would be cool if it was at a bigger venue where there could be some riding to be had on dirtjumps and a pump track. but this is cool id like to see it grow and eventually have that tho.
