American race courses were dominated by e.thirteen riders at Angel Fire and the US Open. Riders dealt with a plethora of weather and course conditions, but their e.thirteen chain retention systems held up through everything to deliver podium results. At the US Open, e.thirteen riders Bryn Atkinson (GT Bicycles) and Sabrina Jonnier (Monster/Iron Horse/Mad Catz) took the mens and womens downhill wins, respectively. Nineteen of the top twenty finishers in the pro classes at the US Open were running e.thirteen, which is a testament to the preferences of the worlds best racers. Congrats to both Sabrina and Bryn for taking home their second US Open titles!

e.thirteen had a huge lounge area set up for privateers to come and get out of the sun at the Open. Michael, Dave and Jonas were out riding and cheering on Sam Hill while he qualified first. Everyone at e.thirteen wants to say a big thank you to all of the people who came by the truck to say hi and who have supported e.thirteen over the years.

The men dominated at Angel Fire as well, with Chris Powell (Avent/Bombshell) taking the Mountaincross win (his first national win ever). Chris said, All rounds start to finish with nothing but confidence about my drivetrain, thanks to the e.thirteen guides. Check out Chris's website for pictures and a story about his first national win: www.chrispowell.us.

Jared Rando (Giant) also slayed the downhill competition by 4.67 seconds! Rando acknowledged his chain retention system by saying, My LG-1 resulted in the lightest possible setup, which helped me to win. This was Jared's first national DH win, and e.thirteen is proud to be a component in his success.

Most riders are now preparing for the next World Cup in Champéry, Switzerland, as they will have to face off against the legendary World Cup champion (and e.thirteen rider) Nicolas Vouilloz.

Fabien Barel and Nico have also turned in some good race results in preparation for Switzerland. Recently they raced the Scratch Pielle 2007 and took first and second, respectively. It seems that Nico is having no trouble adapting to the LG-1 chain retention system after using custom-built guides for the last decade.

This weekend in Champéry should be an exciting race for all the fans to watch, as Nico returns to the World Cup circuit and the rest of the e.thirteen riders continue another season of podium appearances.

e.thirteen components is a small, rider-owned and operated company that strongly supports dozens of grassroots races, series, contests and other riding events all over the world every year. They support a worldwide distribution network and take great pride in offering devoted customer service.
