@bxxer-rider I actually got asked to do this run by the event organiser with full permission from the landowner and my personal friend Martin. Please don't make accusations without an understanding of the circumstances in which this was filmed. Thanks, see you all at the weekend ✊

I quite like the way your being accused of riding against permission! Why would you then post a video onto Pinkbike for the entire world to see! Have a great one this weekend!

first, Clarification on the post would be helpful due to the very assertive message put out previously on the stance one riding the venue leading upto this weekend.

Next, why is it "unofficial" if you were asked to? plus if you were cleared to ride why did you have to ride through tape?

Third it goes along with your reputation with these kids of antics on private land over the last couple years.

Fourth @Tuckandroll see point above. Caused by posted videos online.

So I stand by previous comment for very obvious reasons. If you want to be an athlete at least start by representing yourself properly and professionally.

Just glad they're not using the woods because the first and only time I've been there was the BDS last year and that was an absolute nightmare ha

It's not so much the travel it's the stiffer longer slacker geo that really comes into play when your going flat out.

Doesn't matter what track your on (except really flat pedals tracks) you get to a certain speed and trail bikes trail bikes will start to feel sketchy and simply can't handle the speed dh bikes can.

the track may look fast but looks too much like a trail centre track. may change tho once lined out etc.

so when onegiantleap llangollen puts out a statement saying "no one" is to ride llangollen leading up to this weekend, and no one will be given permission to ride it while they are doing final digging and prep Will Weston goes ahead and takes it upon himself to risk the venue AGAIN by going against specific instructions by the land owners. sit down Weston before you create enemies by loosing great venues up and down the country (he has done the same an other private venues.).

Bet you will see a lot of 160mm enduro bikes battering the shit out of a dh bike on that course !!
  • 5 0
 I doubt it.
  • 1 3
 why not?
  • 3 0
You can't push a trail bike nowhere near as hard as a dh bike.
  • 1 2
O course you can, people in the dh world cup use 160-180mm travel bikes on certain courses and do really well, and to be fair this track is not exactly hardcore, what u say is true but on that track not entirely!!
  • 1 1
which bit of that course would you benefit from the extra travel of a dh bike ? i have ridden antur stiniog many times on my dh bike and a 160 enduro and i am quicker on the enduro, and antur is more hardcore than that track by far !, 80% of tracks a dh bike will skin a enduro/hardcore trail bike on a dh course but that track is part of the 20%, some would agree some wouldnt. peace out !!

The v4 should be out this october but I've got the 2015 v3 650b and it's absolutely rapid mate.
