2015 EvergreenMTB Winter Stoke Contest Winners
Last Saturday nearly 250 people packed Gerk’s Ski and Cycle store in Issaquah for the 3rd Annual Evergreen Winter Stoke Party and Dirt Junkie MTB Video & Photo Contest! Folks won sweet prizes in the silent auction and raffles, and everyone voted for their favourite photo and video.
Hosted by Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance ( @EvergreenBryan ), the party was a huge success raising money for Evergreen’s Education Program. Best of all…Plenty of wintertime mountain bike stoke was generated along the way, and a stellar time was had by all! This year three of the eight videos entered took home sweet packs from Platypus - and all eight were shot by and/or starred Evergreen members! If you didn’t make the party, you can check out this year’s winning entries below.
Dirt Junkie Video Contest:
1st Place - Tiger on One by Jason Shirk
2nd place - Two weeks due: Steve Wolff and Brendan Einan (Filmed with Canon 7D, a buncha Canon lenses and GoPros, in 1080 HD)
3rd place - Loving the Fall: Matt Kurle

Thanks to everyone who entered the photo & video contest - and to everyone who bought bike raffle tickets or came out to the party! Of course, a big shout out to all the party sponsors (Gerk’s Ski and Cycle, Platypus Hydration and Pinkbike). Plus all those who donated items to the silent auction including Sun Peaks Resort, Stevens Pass Bike Park, and more. Extra big thanks go out to the fine folks at Gerk’s for providing such a stellar venue for the party PLUS several gift cards worth $500 total! And for letting us hang out for as long as we did!

Look at the faves and views of the videos: it's completely backwards to how they scored.

On another note, thanks to everyone who came out to support the Evergreen MTB Education Program. All the money goes to supporting the program and getting more people out on bikes. All the instructors (me included) do it on a purely volunteer basis and cover our own expenses so we can spread the love of riding bikes on dirt.
