For the first time ever, the downhill Canadian National Championships will be part of the Dunbar Summer Series in 2017. Dunbar Cycles, Panorama Mountain Resort and SE Racing are stoked to host Canada’s best downhill racers for three days of racing and so much more. Being a part of the Dunbar Summer Series means that Nationals will be supported by some of the best sponsorship and staff the sport has to offer and will also be more than just a race on Sunday for those that attend. Activities over the weekend will include Brett Tippie as host, Shimano kids races, mini golf championships, Whip & Style contest, tire changing events and a riders' meeting with over $5000 in swag giveaways. We have Kaz Yamamura as our event photographer taking epic action shots of every category, Matt Dennison and Jason Lucas from IFHT fame filming the event edit and local Justin Woodman will be putting out RAW edits all weekend long for your amusement. Over the years the Panorama course crew has taken up the challenge to listen to as many racers as possible and make the track for the 2017 Nationals one of the best ever. For 2017 we have added in whoops, pro-line jumps, less uphill, and some new raw loam sections spread throughout. This event will also be a both Nationals and a BC Cup event allowing us to have champagne filled podiums, prizes for seeding and all of the great vibes that come from being part of the local BC series.
All the training, hardwork and commitment paying off
Forrest Riesco will be a top contender to earn the maple leaf sleeve in 2017
Hope to see Georgia Astle at Nationals after her win here in 2016

This was one of the best Canadian DH events I've been to. The trail crew has made the track more World Cup-like than ever before and organization from Stephen Exley was on point as always. I'm looking forward to carrying the momentum from my win here last summer into the 2017 Canadian Nationals—Kirk McDowall
