Last year we hit a once historic race with the jumper cables and brought "The Vedder Mountain Classic" back to life. If you were lucky enough to attend you would have been treated to unreal single track climbs, flowing and rolling descents, and heaps of loam. The weekend was partnered with the BC Enduro Series which drew in riders from all over, with some coming as far as Switzerland. Camping, Beer gardens, great food, and a great after party where all hallmarks of this weekend, and if you made it out there you would remember that it was a pretty damn good time.
In case you missed it here is a recap of
last year's Vedder Mountain Classic, and a recap of last year's
BC Enduro Series race. We want you to mark down
May 6th–7th of 2017 in your calendars, because we are going to be reliving that very awesomeness that touched down on the shores of Cultus Lake last Spring. It's going to be one of those weekends you don't want to miss.
On Saturday, May 6th, we will be hosting the "Vedder Mountain Classic", a challenging 30+ km endurance race with a timed decent, heaps of loam, and amazing single track making it arguably one of the most fun races in BC.
This is an official Cycling BC sanctioned race, part of the BC Premiere XCM Series. This year the series includes the Sunshine Coaster, Vedder Mountain Classic, Nimby 50, and the Spakwus 50. It is going to be an unreal series, with some amazing single track.

Register for the Kids Race HereBC Enduro Series/Canadian National Enduro Championships/North American Enduro Tour and Enduro World Series QualifierIt's no secret that Vedder Mountain has some sick trails, so sick that the BC Enduro Series Organizer Ted Morton had to come back for another round. This year the Vedder Mountain Enduro is back in action with a few surprises as per usual. This year the BC Enduro Series will be the convergence of several Enduro Series running in North America, as well as offering up and coming riders a chance to earn a spot an EWS event.
The course is not for the faint of heart with at least three massive steep raw, loam filled descents. It was definitely one of the highlights from last years Enduro Series.
Head over to the
BC Enduro Series to find out more about this event.
Here is what you need to know for 2017:Camping is limited, sites do fill up fast so we'd recommend booking them early in 2017. Costs range from $32–$44 per night depending on if you are looking for a tent site or full hook up. Head over to
Tourism Chilliwack to get set up with a place to stay. We recommend camping at Sunnyside Campground up at Cultus Lake.
There will be limited access to the trails on Saturday and Sunday because of the races happening. Unofficial practice and group rides are heading out on Friday before the races and Monday after races to have some fun. If you are planning to come hang out and ride, we'd suggest coming out for the group rides on May 5th and May 8th. Stay for the weekend, help volunteer at the races, earn some sweet swag, free beers and food, and come out to the after party.
If you want to ride on Saturday or Sunday, enter one of the races, or if you are a boss, enter them both!
Race fees will increase as we get closer to race day. Once race plates are ordered we will have to put a cap on registration. If there is a great demand we may consider opening more spots if time allows (time is needed to produce race packages/plates).
Absolutely No Refunds. We had far too many riders enter the wrong race last year. This is your warning make sure you are entering the correct race once you register. We will not be providing refunds.
